Working with me means personalized, high-quality care without the limitations of insurance dictating how often we meet, what’s covered, or how your story is told. Together, we focus on what you need, not what your plan says is ‘medically necessary. You’re not just paying for 45 minutes of therapy - you’re investing in someone who holds space for your entire week.

Insurance and Confidentiality

If you plan to use your out-of-network (OON) benefits, I’m happy to provide a superbill (a special receipt) for you to submit to your insurance. This includes basic info like your diagnosis and the dates we met. Just a heads up - once you submit it, I can’t control how your insurance company uses or stores that information. I’ll support you as best I can, but I’m not responsible for what they decide to reimburse or how they process claims.

If you're unsure about your out-of-network benefits, you can call your insurance provider to ask or I can point you to resources that help simplify the process.

Cancellation Policy

It is important you make it to all your scheduled appointments. When there are missed appointments, it can cause a lapse in treatment and your overall growth towards your goals.

I require a 24 hours notice if you cannot keep your scheduled appointment to avoid a cancellation fee. Cancellation Fees equal the Full Cost of Services as listed above. Insurances do not cover or reimburse the cost associated with a missed session.

Self-Pay

Some clients choose not to use insurance at all and opt for self-pay instead, and that’s okay! This option allows for greater privacy and flexibility, as no information is shared with insurance companies like diagnoses, progress notes, or treatment plans. Self-pay may be a good fit for those who prefer more confidentiality or whose insurance does not offer out-of-network mental health benefits.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

Under the law, health care providers must give patients who are not using insurance or are self-pay an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including therapy.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total estimated/expected cost of any non-emergency services. This will usually be completed at your first session.
